I’m sitting in the hospital coffee shop enjoying a coffee and blueberry muffin while my baby girl is sleeping on my lap. My wife is in theatre for a diagnostic procedure. I’m sure it’s nothing to be worried about

Yeah, they know me and found me as a gamer and I let them know in advance when I have an important game.
Same as when I prepped for my shows. At first they took offense when I brought my own food everywhere and did not eat their food at family gatherings. But they learner to understand that eventually.

Not everyone is lucky to have an understanding family like that.
Half of my family still don’t care about our dietary preferences and prepare what we don’t eat when we visit, while the other half go out of their way to accommodate us.

Don’t get me wrong. They do not prepare food for me to eat. I still take my own stuff when I diet.

So I decided to do what a boss is allowed to do today. I decided to call it a day at 12:30 and go home to my wife and son. First time I’ve done this in 4.5 years. Now I’m bored.

It helps with productivity. I have also decided i am only coming in tomorrow at 12 cause i want to get drunk tonight with an old buddy visiting from overseas.
I actually slept well last night. My boy was a colicky mess when I got home though. Wife was frazzled and just got him to sleep when I stepped in. So I made us some coffee and now she’s washing bottles while I sit on the couch with a hot cuppa.

Last paper done, no idea how I did, It wasnt as bad as expected altho a few questions threw me a bit and I did my best waffling - on topic waffling tho. So hopefully I score some points.
I think I will book us all a table at the place @Sigstart mentioned for the Wednesday - makes it easier - Can the Capies just let me know who is in? Better halves are optional.
