For medical aid, speak to Momentum - I have been very happy with them.
As of Saturday evening my phone now sits on Life Support after performing a simple OS refresh (i.e turning it off and on)…
When the technician’s phone starts giving unresolveable problems. Yay.
Anyhoo… Good afternoon gamers. How’s it going?
unfortunately with the Husbands work i dont think you have that choice…
It would be worthwhile to ask, makes no real difference to them from a cost perspective and most of the process and procedures are the same. It does however safeguard you and hubby, as you don’t have to leave the country in 5+ years time or if he decides to get another job.
Ja i suppose its worth the ask. will cross that bridge when we have too though.
anybody here ever drive through Botswana in a car? would it be possible? or would you need a 4x4?
the hubby’s best friend is getting married in September next year and its in Botswana (but like right next to namibia’s side)
Top gear could do it so it should be fine

What a long ass day. Plus raining weather means morons on the road don’t know how to drive. But luckily now time for some much needed gaming.
Morning everyone. How are all of you?
Morning people of the palace, still sleepy, bored at work and the day has only started.
Hope you all have a good day!
Mornings!
such sad news about Stan Lee dying!
Morning everyone.
Where in Botswana bud. We’ve travelled most of bots
While I’m online. Most places are accessible in a car. It’s the game reserves that need a 4x4.
If you going north the nata strip is a decent road but it has elephants that cross the road and in summer it’s very bushy.
Obey the speed limit. In RSA little five house rural places get an 80km/h sign we all whizz through. In bots the cops trap in them and are firm on the fines. They are a nusience as when we got stopped we had to drive back to Maun to pay the fine.
At night, watch out for donkeys on the roads, they are everywhere.
They used to have meat checks every so often, Botswana meat is not the greatest so we got our butcher to vaccuum seal it with a letter saying his meat is checked for foot and mouth. We also had to keep the slips. All but one stop accepted it. It is a gamble to take your own meat.
The main thing is be friendly, we all greeted the meat check attendants and tsetse fly guys (some areas you are required to have your car sprayed and have to dip your shoes soles).
This goes a long way as they are doing their job and a lot of South Africans piss them off with their arrogance.
Boarder officials are sometimes arrogant, but after a friendly chat they are super.
In general Botswanan people are awesome and helpful. I’m so jealous!
I have heard the same from a sky diving enthusiast friend of mine. He goes there every year to jump.
The wedding is in Ghanzi, dont know where in Ghanzi yet as we just received the save the date.
You’ll be ok, it’s decent roads all the way from JHB/Pretoria
