How are you finding the game with the wheel? I bought a wheel specifically yo play F1 2016 and the rest is history. Also 2019 does have much easier handling, and in 2020 it is even more fun. Takes some getting used to the first time you try, but it’s great
I’m absolutely loving it. I have no desire to play any other games any more. I keep jumping between Flight Simulator 2020 (with the Warthog stick) and F1 2019 (with the G920). I tried a bit of Project Cars 2 as well, but I’m liking F1 a lot more. I’ll get around to Dirt Rally 2 soon as well.
Edit: Even the might RDR2 has fallen before my new found love for sim with peripherals.
Cheap!
I was very tempted, but I just started F1 2018, dropped it shortly after resubbing to Game Pass and started on F1 2019. I’ve only finished the F2 intro races and 2 practice laps of the first F1 race. So I can’t justify dropping another F1 game in the dust to jump to the latest one right now.
Damn you pcmr okes, it’s on “special” on Xbox for like 800±
F1 2020 on a one week sale (ends 29 March) on Steam. At 70% off with regional pricing works out to R98.70 for Standard Edition or R113.70 for Schumacher Edition - well worth it at that price, even if you only focus on single player and My Team career stuff.
Oh, how I miss our F1 championships! When it worked, that is…
Australia was your favourite track, right?
So it seems that F1 2020 will be the last F1 game I get at launch on Steam… As many of us feared when Codemasters sold to EA, no more regional pricing for us. At R1000 for Standard and R1150 for Deluxe on Steam, it ain’t happening for me. EA can get knotted with those numbers. (If I still have an active Origin/EA sub when it releases I will use that to have a look-see at things, but no way am I buying games at those prices ever again.)
Releases 16 July.
It’s all EA now. Sad.
Wonder if it goes to Game Pass for both PC and Console at launch through the EA Play deal?
If it does then I’ll play it that way because currently I won’t be getting it. Such a huge price increase!
Ja, same here. I maybe got R1000 worth out of F1 2019, with the MEW league and the sheet number of times @oltman won Albert Park, but I definitely didn’t see the same value from 2020. 2021 will be Xbox game pass or bust for me.
Shot for picking at that scab!
#IWasThere
It will come to regular EA Play eventually. I am a patient man after all
For what it’s worth*:
And some more insights from aarava. Big shill as he is, he does get the news and info…
* I guess it’s “worth” is R1000, according to EA
Not worth it at all anymore
I am dangerously close to buying the new game, even though it is at R1k. The videos I’ve seen so far about the game and the changes is making me super enthusiastic to get back into it.
They definitely seem to be making an effort:
What’s new?

Next-Generation Experience
For the first time, F1® 2021 is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 with visual uplift and faster loading times, alongside PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. What’s returning to F1® 2021?
Features you know and love from F1® 2020, such as My Team, two-player split-screen, shorter seasons, accessible options, and F2™ aren’t going anywhere. We’re also expanding and refining many other features, including scalable assist options, driver stats and multiplayer.
