For the price of the Standard Edition, you could get about 5 months of Game Pass PC at the new R249pm price, I guess. Still, not cheap either way.

I’m really not sure what the plan is for MS published games now.
GamePass is too expensive for me and the initial launch price is very steep!
Discounts seem to take longer to come too, for example, Indiana Jones released in Dec 2024 and has only been discounted by -30% on sale.

Im guessing this is based on an evolution of the horizon 5 engine (forza 7 engine) and not the reboot motorsport engine, cause the horizon 5 engine was older but still looked better than fm2023 in most cases
