What is the UPlay integration with Epic Store? Do you need to launch it from EGS, just like Steam? Or do you launch straight from UPlay? It does not matter THAT much to me, I am just curious. I have no Ubisoft games on EGS.

I have it on Uplay.
When the game was launched I got the collectors on ps4. Was planning on getting a ps4 at the time but got a pc instead. Now I own AC syndicate collectors and Destiny ghost edition on ps4

You link your Uplay account to the EGS and then the game appears in your Uplay library. You don’t have to use EGS for Uplay games at all.

does the Epic launcher need to be installed in any capacity?
Probably yeah, but I could be wrong. I’ve never tried claiming a free game without using the launcher.
You claim the game, then go to EGS library and instead of install it will show “link Uplay account”. When that’s done it will appear in Uplay library.

Thanks for the feedback! So it acts like any third party store but rather than give you a key it gives you the game directly into your platform library. I can live with that

Can confirm with both Uplay and Origin. I bought The Division 2 and linked it to Uplay and bought Jedi Fallen Order and linked it to Origin. I can launch both games in their native launchers without going through EGS.

Exactly. I already own it on PS4, but grabbed it anyway. The same for Steep - I had it on PS4 but grabbed it on EGS when it was free as well. There are many games on EGS that I own on other platforms or launchers already, but I get them anyway to complete the “collection”.
