Does anyone know if the devs get anything from these freebies? I wouldn’t mind sending them a bit of coin, but I have the game on Steam already, and it works natively on linux. Epic can get stuffed.
I would assume Epic comes to an agreement with the devs to pay them for the “free” release. They won’t have the right to just give it away without consent. This is probably all part of Epic / Tencent’s plan to dominate the gaming world.
I don’t know what it is about Torchlight 2, but I could never get myself to finish it. Every time I reach around level 30 I just start a new character until I eventually lose interest. I even bought the game in Switch and the same thing happened.
I’ve never finished any Torchlight game but I do recall having fun while playing.
Also a summer sale with the usual deals
I personally enjoyed 20XX quite a lot (25 hours played), even though I never managed to finish it.
Nice!
And I see that Remnant from the Ashes is being given away next week. That is quite the giveaway and one on my wishlist.
Play one round of Quake Champions over the weekend to unlock all champions for free.
It’s a fun game but there’s just no community locally - or if there are guys who play they’re way too good for those trying out the game. But hey, free stuff!
I’ve put many hours into it, but it was pretty disappointing when they removed our local server. I’m hoping they make some kind of comeback, but it looks like they’ve all but abandoned the game completely.
Oh right, I didn’t realise the local server got taken down. So it’s pretty vs. bots now.
For those that have to get them all.
Today’s the day that Total War Saga: Troy launches and goes free for the first 24 hours on Epic. (Presumably from 5 PM which is when Epic’s weekly freebies change, but don’t quote me on that.)
Can confirm that it is not yet the 13th of August according to Epic
It’s up now
