The Definitive Edition of Pillars of Eternity and the Gold Edition of Tyranny are both available for free for the week over on the Epic Games Store.
Next week looks like possibly the start of the Epic Winter Sale as the free game is shown as a gift wrapped mystery game.
I never finished Pillars. Got bored of it. I really want to give it another try though.
I grabbed both, won’t play either I suspect. I am not a fan of playing single-player and then changing to dif chars to get moves done.
Ubisoft is getting into the spirit of the holiday season by giving away “gifts” including games and in-game loot every day this week. If you want to claim what they’re offering, head over to ubisoft.com, click the “register now” button, log in to your Ubisoft account, and then get ready for free stuff .
(You can also claim it directly from the Ubisoft Connect client if you prefer.)
The first thing coming out of the sack and down your chimney is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content bundle with the Seafarer Settlement pack and legendary Bayek outfit for Eivor. The content will be available on all platforms, and if you’re thinking to yourself right now, “But I don’t own Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” that’s okay, because it’ll be there if you get Valhalla later.
I already claimed it yesterday, even though I haven’t really played it yet since a couple of hours after launch day.
Bollocks! Missed the Valhalla content with no internet earlier today. Just gone there now and the gift has changed to a free copy of Starlink: Battle for Atlas now. Wonder what time the day changes for these?
I sooooo wish that was a giveaway on Switch! I’ve been wanting to play it on Switch for some time now, but I’ll claim it on PC nonetheless.
Dont you need to buy toys for this game? Ala Skylanders…
Optional, according to Wikipedia:

The game also features optional toys-to-life elements.
“Limitless coupons” you say? My wallet disagrees.
It’s vehemently adamant that the limit for me, coupons or not, is free stuff and 85% off regional prices only. And then only maybe. Says the same thing about the Steam Sale.
As before, Epic coupons can’t be used on pre-orders, and these ones expire on Jan 7 two weeks before it’s released, so no Hitman 3 shenanigans sadly.
This coupon cannot be used on pre-purchases or any non-game purchase such as add-ons (like DLC or season passes) or in-game purchases (such as in-game currency, like V-Bucks in Fortnite, or upgrades like Save the World mode).
All unredeemed $10 Epic Coupons received during Holiday Sale expire on Thursday January 7th at 11:00am Eastern Standard Time.
Yup, already tried.
…and they caught me on the fact that you can’t use it for DLC either. So there goes my idea of grabbing the Borderlands 3 Season Pass. It’s actually a good thing, because Epic prevented me from spending money that I shouldn’t have. Other than that, there’s nothing else really piquing my interest. Perhaps Star Wars Squadrons (with an extra R160 off the already discounted price), but I’ll wait to see what the Steam sale delivers first.
