I don’t think they’ve ever given away an EA game.
That was my suspicion. They’ve only really ever had a couple of EA’s Star Wars games available in their store I think - not much to giveaway.

I can confirm it worked, but I only received the email with the link to get the Steam activation code about two and a half hours later.
