The GTA VI trailer references some very real (and strange) Florida moments.

I am so not surprised.
Which means it’ll probably only reach the superior platform towards the end of 2027. Maybe it’s the boomer in me, but I must be one of the very few people who can happily live without another GTA ![]()
same, I have no hype for this game, and there are more that enough other games out, and that are coming out that I am looking forward to.
It does look amazing. Still, I’m content to watch from a distance and wait for the PC release. And possibly even for a post-PC release price drop. I know nothing is confirmed, but rumours has it that a $100 price tag for the very barebones base game is not completely far-fetched.
With such a heavily anticipated title and with all it’s hype and cachet, even at those sort of prices, it’ll still sell by the truckload, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if R
do release it with a 3 figure plus price tag.
This is me haha.
So 2028 it is then.
I still haven’t really played GTA V, despite having had it on PS3, PS4 and free on Epic.
I am pretty excited, but also can wait for PC with decent pricing…
I am of course interested and intrigued, I mean it’s a new Grand Theft Auto, of course there will be interest and hype. That being said, I am currently not excited, at least not yet. Will I get it on release, probably. It is a seller no doubt and production quality has an exceptional track record.
On the “it looks incredible” point, Rockstar released 70-odd screenshots and a bunch of new artwork and wallpapers (which also reveal some of the character names) in tandem with the new trailer.

To the surprise of no-one…
I guess it’s a big enough thing that a computer game release gets column inches from the BBC and Variety…
Yet you can still be sure that the internet will lose their shit.
It seems cover art reveals are a thing now. Who knew? Also, a pre-order start date confirmation in there (25 June).
Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.

$80… Ouchie. Still hoping for a PC date soon…
The local pricing is actually not that bad vs what other games cost. Capcom games for R1499 new as well these days.
It’s pretty much USD price + VAT. Shame that we’re not getting some regional pricing though, but that’s also few and far between these days. And usually reserved for PC / Steam releases.
Netflix X GTA6 crossover? Netflix getting a bit of product placement in the game? A live action GTA series in the works maybe?
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET and will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET on August 27.
