This seems to be a common problem here in CPT. What are your guys’ recommendations for this?
I have been using some bleach and water mixture and while that cleans it and holds it off for a while it keeps coming back. While I admit it won’t remove it completely, what maintenance measures do others use?
Not to mentioned becoming a health concern.
Mould buster - it aint cheap, and you use a fair bit of it, but it works - are you the upstairs or ground level?
It takes about 3 times to get the mould to go away - but I would bring that up with the landlord - there is damp in your walls and roof - until the leak is repaired it will never go away

This stuff also help but its all temp fixes
Ours cleared up after we had our whole roof repaired. We had to spray mould buster 2 more times and since then nothing
The issue is you are killing the mould on one side - but not in the roof where it grows and spreads
Yeah, agreed mould buster is the best option but it seems to come back after every winter. The amount of condensation in the rooms and bathroom (the worst affected room). I think I must get one or some of those moisture absorbers as you say.
We’re on the ground floor.
That Mould Buster stuff is strong.
Get at least 1 per room, there are 2 kinds, the one I posted and a refillable one - They are about R40 and I have one in each small room and 2 in the big rooms. It really works and once the beads are finished (they last between 1 - 2 months) I just dump the liquid in the sink and replace the pelets.
Its the only thing that actually kills the mould tho - I even use it in the showers
We also had black mold on the bathroom ceilings when we bought our house and mouldbuster cleaned it up nicely, but then we also repainted the ceiling with a proper mold-resistance paint. Think it was Dulux Bathroom+
Have not had mold problems again for 5 years now.
Oh yeah, I’ve been subscribed to this thing’s GitHub for a while mow. Looks really good! It’s not quite there yet in terms of easy to source hardware and compatibility with closed manufacturers, but it’s certainly getting some things right.
