Minecraft - the best selling game of all time

If I may make a suggestion for mods, I think having some redstone wires/cables would be nice, think it could help make cool redstone contraptions and should not be too heavy on the server, something like this:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simplelogic-wires

It isn’t being actively maintained.

Not sure how mods differ from plugins, but I’m using spigot for plugins so far.

No worldguard yet, but I’ve got the server up and running for java and bedrock clients already. Spawn is protected for 64 blocks.

I’ll get the backups and such set up tomorrow, but we should be good to go for tomorrow evening!

Whoop! My son’s assessments should be done by tomorrow and he’ll be on leave holiday from the 8th. I haven’t told him anything about this and I actually can’t wait to tell him that he can no longer play on these random servers and now has to conform to this :stuck_out_tongue:

This will add to his reasoning to be pissed at me as I also recently told him no more YouTube.

As a parent of a 10 year old, I know how big of a deal this is!

My 3 year old son loves YouTube (Kids). I actually don’t have a problem with it… He’s active during the day at pre-school and we also play outside (and inside) with toys, running around like crazy people when I get home each day. So the little time he spends just before and after dinner on his iPad gives us a bit of a breather as well.

Oh I agree that’s no problem. It’s when they get older and into the YouTubers and could quite happily watch all day if you don’t intervene

Exactly! And the amount of crap he will happily watch unless I do something about it. He will actively watch people play Minecraft than put those ā€œskillsā€ into practice. Or even watch other kids play with toys rather than play with his own.

But I digress, perhaps a separate thread is needed for this discussion. Perhaps also worth having.

So are we, and by we I mean you (@murfle), on track for deployment? :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s already up. I just have to get the backups going. I’ve been busy dealing with lightning damage all day today, so didn’t get around to it.

I set up a little bit of lighting and some melons at spawn the get people going. Just read the signs.

Java and bedrock both working.

I’m going to be changing the IP when I get a chance. Maybe @SIGSTART can do us a favour and set up a DNS entry for minecraft.mostepic.win for us

In the meantime, if you want to log in on the current IP I sent out and get started, by all means do so. I’m just asking everyone to space themselves out by 500 blocks or so.

Also, I would like us all to do the Ender Dragon fight together as a group for the first run (I know he can be respawned, but…)

Sure thing. Hit me with the IP and I’ll add it to the DNS.

Also, the graphic mod I will be using makes my game look like this:

It actually uses a few good amounts of my PCs resources.

The DNS record is in. It’s behind Cloudflare. If that won’t work let me know and I’ll turn the proxying off.
