Ag no… another “attack” and reason to hate and blame on sharks, it’s not like they’re at fault or to blame. They just acting on instinct.

I would share images but they are very graphic.

I’ve heard surfers are the usual ‘targets’, either because they’re wearing a shiny watch, or that the person paddling on their surfboard looks like a seal.

From my knowledge and research (I’m no shark expert or scientist), sharks are curious creatures by nature and their instinct is to “taste” or try everything or anything. Yes, surfers may look like seals from an underside perspective, but their curiosity compells them to bite at things to determine if it is eddible. They will literally go for almost anything and everything.

That Aussie TV video title… “TV star”?? “Mauled”?? Yeah, I don’t think they’re using either of those terms correctly.

I’ve never understood the whole Jackass thing at all. Even when it was just stupid, lame frat boy crap. I don’t know, maybe it’s a generational thing. Kudo’s to the shark for showing such restraint. Either that, or he just tasted too kak - his nickname is “Poopies” after all.

@SIGSTART, when things for your reporters calm down a little, can you get Hanno to do a follow up article to see why FNB and Standard are still not Apple Pay enabled?

From his original article, FNB were “working with Apple and looking forward to bringing Apple Pay to its customers”, and Standard “customers can expect further announcements on this in the near future”.

I reckon almost 4 months later classifies as “the near future”. :grinning:

End of an era

It is with a heavy heart that RX Venue Management today announces that after 20 years of being the management company of South Africa’s largest multipurpose indoor arena, The Ticketpro Dome has now been sold by the owners, Sasol Pension Fund, to a third party which does not operate in the event space.

I wonder what “a third party which does not operate in the event space” is going to do with it?

damn this kinda sucks, coz now what will happen to rAge after all this is over? perhaps a better dome could be built, or well, I guess it depends on what webuycars will do with it maybe they might keep it just as is, and use it as their own showroom, whilst still leasing(?) it out to others for like shows and conventions.

It sucks, but I can see why. I did not even take into account the lockdown, but if you cannot use an events venue for events, then its better to get rid of it :frowning:
