It is very nice, same socket till 2020.
You just get some extra features for MB gen upgrade, but everything still works.
The Ryzen 5 1600 is actually more expensive than the Ryzen 5 2600. Are we going to see a pricce drop on the older chips?

Possibly, they have gotten a price drop recently. But no word yet if AMD is going to drop it further.
