I don’t know if any of you watched the game. It was one of those games that will stick in your memory until the day you die.
When Matera said to the referee that he plays for his country, I knew trouble was brewing.
I lost quite a bit of money on this game. The All Blacks lost against Australia the week before and normally when the All Blacks lose, they bounce back the next game and win by far. Plus the Argentina players haven’t played much rugby at all this year and last played international rugby more than a year ago. Everything was pointing to a big All Blacks win.
Then as the game went on you could see the passion of the Argentina players. And it looked like the All Blacks rocked up expecting to win.
The All Blacks had only one linebreak in the whole game. That is an unbelievable stat! It shows you how good the Argentina defence were. And Matera, he showed that he truly is one of the best players in world rugby.
Amazing performance. I look forward to the next one.
