Tech Support Hotline

Finally someone that agrees with me.

Not disagreeing with @aldyr, but you guys should join a couple of zoom calls. That’s a headache inducing experience, and if feels free.

We use the google suite at work. If I had one complaint, it would be, recorded calls, go to the google drive of the scheduler. Zoom doesn’t quite sandbox so lekker on linux, so I’ve only tried Zoom through the browser.

I did my legal liability training over zoom. It wasn’t too bad, but then all I did was listen/watch the presentation. I could see that it is quite a limited platform. But then again microft teams feels very heavy.

Are you using a business suite, or the free personal optional?

Business

Sorry if i am interrupting, but has anyone here ever used zentyal linux server?

Never heard of it before. I’ve actually been considering looking into something like this though. I’m assuming it is just a paid distro with support using otherwise freely available packages?

Will definitely be looking into this during work hours at some point! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Is there anything specific you’re asking about though?

Don’t get it XD client just lost her data, and now we see that it did not backup how it was supposed to over the years, and we don’t actually do full support or anything like that for her specifically so she was supposed to monitor it, but didn’t…

And by what i mean with “did not backup how it was supposed to” it has a setting to include the folders that it needs to backup, but it didn’t backup the included folder, so all is basically lost

Also don’t want to lie to you now but it looks to be free from the get go? The version i see here is Zantyal 3.5 community Edition, a quick google suggests it is free.

Ya, thing this about backups, they not only need to be monitored, but also tested for recovery.

I’ll check out the community edition soon, thanks

No problem, i am not a linux user in any sense, but this does look like it could be a nice piece of OS if someone uses it who has knowledge of linux systems

And checks their backups lol

There seems to be a shortage of i3 and Ryzen 3 processors :expressionless:

Only thing I can find is https://www.evetech.co.za/ryzen-3-3200g-x470-gaming-plus-16gb-2666mhz-upgrade-kit/best-deal/11326.aspx but they don’t have stock of just the processor that I can tell (plus I don’t want to order from evetech)…

I built my wife a PC in Feb, and was aiming at a 3200G, but couldn’t track one down for about a month. Eventually I had to settle for a 2200G. It does the job, since it’s a facebook, youtube, and light Excel machine, but I would’ve like to just get one Gen better while I’m going to the effort. I ordered mine at Wootware in the end.

I’m glad to say that Wootware will be replacing my SSD. They have such good support.

Is this a new feature from Firefox that I am unaware of and how do I stop this from being a thing?

No, it looks like it’s a Steam or a forum thing. @SIGSTART
