I know we have a few construction okes in here and wanted to ask. Is this kinda commen practice (if you know anything about BOQ’s)?

Im not sure what you are asking.
For any construction (the bigger the more important this is) you need a BOQ - that is how the architect quotes their fees, that is what the builders build their tenders with.
