We had two and one stopped working after about a year. They work really well though.

eish one year is not good, I get very warm very quickly and will most like use it a lot, especially here in the NC so could use one that lasts

I’ve heard them all already. Bloody arsehole!:rofl:

Mornings good people’s

We had a slight drizzle of rain last night! Yay for the rainy season!

My mom-in-law was admitted to icu yesterday… She has emphysema and got admitted because she is not taking her medication as she should. We even got her oxygen for home but she didn’t want to use it as often as she should because someone told her that oxygen actually makes you sicker and that she will get more dependant on it the more she uses it…
I have having to see our parental getting to the age where they are too stubborn to listen to medical advice or just the fact that I’m at the age now where ppl passing on is gonna start happening more and more.

I’m sorry to hear this @Wenzdayz. We’ve been experiencing similar, though a bit farther removed, where my wife’s aunt is dropping into full blown dementia. MIL went to visit her sister in Ramsgate last week to assess the situation there, and she came home completely drained. She had to clean the whole house, as it was a pigsty; took her husband to the doctor where he was admitted for pneumonia; fed her three square meals for a week, as she forgets to eat; bought her a new microwave as the old one was broken and just… left… and then used as a reason for not eating.

Worst part of it is that she phoned MIL a couple of hours after getting the microwave to tell her that some lovely people had bought her a microwave to replace the old one, simply not grasping that MIL bought it. :frowning:

Getting older sucks.

Sorry to hear, dementia is just awful! My gran passed away from it a couple of years ago… It is the worst seeing someone you love not remember you and seeing the go backwards. I hope you have a good support system because everyone will need to help with taking care of her.

That’s the worst bit - it’s just her and her husband (stroke survivor and in my completely untrained opinion, also suffering from dementia to a lesser degree) at the retirement village in Ramsgate. Husband’s children are in the UK, they have no children together, MIL in Pretoria, and their brother is down in George. Retirement village doesn’t have the power to force a carer on them yet, and they’re adamant they don’t need one. :man_facepalming:

I’ve been a bit slack with the exercise and diet, slowly getting back on track with both, I was Lucky I didn’t gain again.

But proud of myself today, new highest average heartrate for a session and new highest peak.

What helped was I was the only one in the class so we got done in 40mins what normally takes an hour with all th chats and rest breaks. So between sets I was given 30secs and a water sip. I am gonna feel it tomorrow
