please be careful not to click any links there.thats exact message i and my friends got.
my mate was a bit tipsy, got a message like that from a hacked person, and then got scammed into tradng with what he thought was his smurf account, even his steamguard didnt warn him it wasnt the same acc. lost about 3k worth of skins. so our thoughts are that the link you click seems to do something to your steam acc to bypass the steam trading warnings and 15 day hold etc

ja strange thing is the version of the message I got seemed legit… especially from the guy I got it from, who I don’t know SUPER well. But ja… moment of weakness + mountain of work shit I’m dealing with = stupid mistakes
Weird thing is this guy that I got it from is no longer coming up in my friends… now I wonder if the “hacker” maybe deleted his account…

I had someone on my Steam friends list send a very similar message. I thought okay, clicked the link and then it started asking me to log in with my Steam details. It mimicked a known CSGO tournaments website but a quick background check revealed the site to have only been created within the last week despite the organisation it was mimicking being around for years. I played dumb that I couldn’t get the log in to work.
The next day I get a message from the same person saying sorry they had been hacked. Dodged that bullet!
