I am the eternal optimist too, but I’ve become incredibly cynical about anything involving governments and government employees - at all levels! Like @Murfle, as positive as I hope this plan is for green energy production and a reduction on our dependencies on Eskom and it’s patently failing coal infrastructure, I’m just wondering how we’re going mess it up. Look at Biden’s US Infrastructure Bill (which includes a lot of green energy infrastructure development) being held up in Congress by two Democratic senators with deep direct, personal financial interests in the fossil fuel industry. I am certain that Uncle Gwede is not happy at all about any threats to his coal mining interests.
I’m especially curious to hear exactly who will be holding the purse strings. I mean, our “for the people” officials couldn’t keep their corrupt, sticky fingers out of the Covid funding pools. And now we’re going to give them US$5-billion to manage?

Sjoe was a busy morning at least calmed down now. It is gonna be a loooooong day tho, but I’m happy to be here.
Mum was clever and over did it after her knee op, now she is on bed rest till Monday since the knee is leaking fluid, luckily the one test came back and no infection but they are now analysing it to find out exactly what is leaking. They also put her on strong antibiotics just incase

Long story short, dog got loose and was on his way to maul some construction workers, I subdued him and in the process I somehow broke my ring finger. I still have no idea exactly how or when it happened, I only realised about 5 minutes later.
I’ll only know about the rehab tomorrow.
Not being able properly use a mouse sucks. The codeine is nice though
