Thanks. We went off around 2pm or so, and I knew it’d be a long haul considering the lightning…

I did fire up the braai for dinner, but I did a potjie. A potent potjie with 6 or 7 fresh chillies.
Too bad I couldn’t power up my rice cooker. Hiyaa…

Highly recommended! I ended up just cutting up some chicken that was about to go off, but I have game in the freezer… I still have enough of everything (I think) to make another grin

Onion, carrot, potato, garlic, chillies, sugar snap peas, baby corn. Plus thyme, rosemary, bit of basil and sage from the garden. Thankfully I had some toasted cumin left over from a previous night, corriander seed, mustard, chicken stock, little red wine. And the chicken.
