People can’t identify doors in Cape Town.

Exactly what crusader said, people CANNOT FUCKING READ! And its scary how bad it is getting in the last few months

Oh and yay me - not.

This project we’re doing. At first it was told to us that we can fit in under the main companies safety file. Now we need our own safety file and need a ‘site manager’ (we’re consultant who don’t do site work) The site manager needs to do three courses, first aid, legal liability and a site specific course. I can just see myself getting ‘volunteered’ for that.

I’m still confused. What does reading have to do with identifying that thing in the red circle is a door…

It’s 2020… People can identify as anything they want. But identifying a door? C’mon, that’s asking a bit much. /s

There’s a super nice cool breeze outside right now.

Good time to get some fresh air in the lungs (especially considering I’m still recovering).

Honestly I just cant handle idiots at the moment, I can tell them where to go, and walk with them to the DOOR open said door, tell them up the stairs and to the right, I go back into my office and see them 2 mins later looking lost. I am just gatvol that it seems this lockdown has made people more stupid than before.

Just to be aware of, children under 5 years do not have to wear masks - at least in the school environment, I’m not sure about public. You’d need to be clear on the regulation.

These are not 5 year olds that are roaming around out complex… they are bigger kids. i think (i have to check it though) children under 4 are excluded. That being said if a 4y old is walking around alone in my complex there is a bigger problem in that the parents are not looking after those kids

Avoid the third one, it looks like it doesn’t have thickness adjustment. I’d say the 2nd one looks like the best build quality.

I got one of these types of things from clicks with 4 or 5 blade inserts, and they all suck. But I thought it would be a good alternative to a box grater at the time, since it had both a fine and a coarse cheese/carrot insert. I ended up getting a box grater a few years later when my parents were visiting, but it is also crap (the metal buckles when grating cheese, for example). I gotta stop buying cheap junk for the kitchen…

What kind of things are you planning to cut with it?

Its mainly for carrots and cucumber - those kind of things.

Ive always gone for the cheapies as well.

As for graters, just normal ones, but I just grab the ones from Checkers - we have found they last the longest - the expensive ones break just as fast and go blunt

So julienne cuts and dicing mostly?

Next time I buy a box grater, I’m gonna hold in between my palms and see if my thumbs can push the grating plane in. If it buckles, I’ll find another one. I actually almost got the checkers one, but I found one for about R40 cheaper at the Hub, and since my parents were paying for it, I decided to get that one.

Yea basically, I just want to be able to prep more stuff to bring to the office for lunch, and I hate cutting carrots :stuck_out_tongue:

Those look super sturdy!

I actually had a similar one that was perfect for cinnamon and such. I think I left it in another country :expressionless:
