I’m busy fighting with BitCo. My ONT was installed last week Tuesday, but I haven’t had a single bit of internet yet. On Friday I was supposed to be activated, when I got back from my weekend away, only the power LED was lit. Reported it, confirmed my PPPoE details, and was asked to try again. I did that, and got Support to admit on Monday night that I was, in fact, not activated. For reference, Metrofibre’s network went live on 30 September. I placed my FTTH order on 30 September.
That’s the last I heard from anyone at Bitco, in spite of mails from my side every day. I sent one this morning saying that I’m going to cancel my service and request a refund if I don’t receive clear feedback by 14:00 as to when I will have internet.
On a completely unrelated note, does anyone have any experience with Home Connect or Fibre Stream?
Wanted to sign up with them but their response times were not acceptable, and when I had specific queries on services they seemed rather uncertain of what is offered or delivered.
However, the previous tenant was with them and he swore by them. Each to thei own I guess.
That’s weird. A couple of years ago I was with BitCo and they had such great support. Some of the best support I ever received from a South African company. I hope you come right.
The Sales team was brilliant. The lady there fought hard with MFN, since they first didn’t believe my network was live, in spite of the MFN sales team confirming, and they then took forever to install the ONT, but the support team simply isn’t giving me any feedback. It’s frustrating to say the least… Right now, M-Web is in the lead for replacement.
