Mmm…the “Videos” section and videos in general on Formula1.com have stopped working for me… Is it a me thing? Maybe they’ve clued onto the fact i use an adblocker
So, I’m not sure if we’ve all recovered properly, but IT’S RACE WEEK, PEOPLE!!
Woohoo!
And I’m working from home on Friday so can follow the practice.
Again! I love it! The only good thing ole Rona brought us is super stacked racing weekends.
After starving us from it…
Are they at least gonna change it up and like race the track backwards or something? Or am I correct in seeing that we’re literally seeing the same race as last week?
EDIT: don’t get me wrong, im excited…its just the track is named different but the course layout/length is precisely the same according to formula1.com
As much as that would be great fun, it sadly isn’t going to happen. The “Grosser Preis Der Steiermark” is simply a renamed Austrian GP because there can only be one national GP on the season. Steiermark is the provincial region that the circuit is in - it translates to Styria, so this weekend is the Styrian GP.
I think the racing is going to be a bit different in that lots went wrong in last race(9 people did not even finish) and even the mercs had problems. and for that reason I think we going to get few surprises. Thinking most of the drivers will be pushing even harder and teams would be asking them to not use curbs.
@Wyvern you thought Vettel should retire?
Does that mean Valtteri will go back to Williams?
Mercedes has confirmed that they will stick with Hamilton and Bottas next year.
Oh, snap. I missed that! Glad for Bottas!
At this stage it’s all “leaks” though so it may be wrong. I read it at Reddit yesterday.
So it seems like Ferarri is moving up some of their upgrades to this weekend’s race. They had to I guess.
Hope it helps.
I also hope so. F1 needs a strong Ferrari team.
Ag goeie fok, as much as I like the guy, he needs to fuck off as well. I want more young blood in F1, this is silly, but then again he brings Renault a crap ton of money and publicity.
I think that’s probably the big reason why Renault would go for Alonso. That’s a lot of publicity and with publicity comes better sponsorship deals.
However, Alonso isn’t a person to not say what is on his mind and if Renault gives him a crappy car then it will be a lot of bad publicity.
It’ll be an interesting one. I really hoped it would have been Bottas.
GP2 Car! GP2 Car!
I guess they have to to keep Orlen interested. I like the guy, but he is just not fast anymore.
Nor is the Alfa, so that works
