For the last I don’t know how many weekends I’ve missed the F1. Missed qualifying and the practice sessions this weekend too. Now if Eskom can just keep the power on today I’ll finally be able to watch a race. Really looking forward to it.

I think these mini sector maps are very interesting, especially for a circuit like Baku with its varying nature of slow turns, narrow twisty bits, and long straights.

Talking about mini sectors, both Bottas and Leclerc had two purples in the first sector and a bit on their laps before the Tsunoda red flag ended Qualifying - I think Leclerc quite probably would have held onto the pole, but VB definitely wouldn’t be stuck down in P10.

Also the fact that someone took the time to change the building roofs to read “BENDY WINGS” amuses me no end :rofl:

So, it turns out that the creator of that fastest mini sectors image hides Easter eggs all over them. There’s at least 6 more in that pic besides the Bendy Wings thing.

Can you find them all?

Well done! You got most of them…

  • The “UFO thing” is a manhole cover flying off

The others:

  • top left corner is Lando’s LN4 logo in the building roofs
  • in the Turn 8 runoff (just before the castle turn) is the hardest one to spot - there’s a “P” parking symbol alongside the Ferrari logo, as in, its a Ferrari parking lot.
  • top center, just to the left of the “Baku” text, a building has had a couple of additions added to it to make it look very phallic

Oh my hat haha. Verstappen gets a lifeline with that lockup from Hamilton.
Bleak day for Ferrari, never expected them to win but geez, at least hoped for a podium. Almost had at actually now due to se luck, but even couldn’t do that.

Sjoe what a race, that was epic! Its the best podium ina while, Lewis’s mistake was brilliant to watch. I wont lie I felt bad for about 1min after max crashed before I realised what it meant for Vettel.

He deserved that spot, drove bloody well today.

Gasly is my second favourite today. Not sure what the Macca’s was up too, it looked like not much till the end when Norris showed he is still with us
