Some epic wide body rear diffuser
Oooh fun qualy!
It is time
Yes MR B!! Love it did anyone else here a baby crying on the race track ?
What a (sadly) meh race, other than those last few laps. Especially considering the conditions. Should make a rule that for a wet race each driver only gets one set of Full Wets and one set of Intermediates Great drive by Carlos, and a good result for Charles too, for Team Red. And nice to see Checo on the podium again - his battle with Lewis was fun! Whiny Lewis is the best Lewis.
And then the post race chatā¦ fuck me sideways, but these Sky tossers are irritatingā¦
15 minutes about Lewis and making excuses for his stupid choice to overrule the team, and exactly 12 seconds to congratulate Valterri on winning the Grand Prix. Sky F1 and Merc are sycophantic knobheads. I mean Christian Horner comes up and the first thing is not āwell done on your double podiumā, itās āwhat do you think about Lewisā decision?ā I mean really?!
If he did not want to go in he should have done what Lando did last weekend said NOOOOOO!
he cant blame anyone it was a team choice and he also went with it. If it worked then GG but this time it didnt work.
Lando also make the wrong choice but he accepted it and learned from it. Im happy with the double podium and with Valtteri Bottas win. feels like carma
I struggled to stay awake, between the sound of the generator and the boring race. . . Im upset that half the great over takes was shown on a mini screen whilst we watched lewis. Yes he did well to overtake all the slower teams, he did it well so no complaint.
That penalty for Gasly was utter BS, I didnāt see the Schum/Alonso incident so no idea what happened there.
They really do need to do something to prevent the guys drive their inters bald like that - it cannot be safe?
Happy times for Ferarri. looking competive again. Still easy pickings for the likes of Merc and Red Bull but at least we can keep up a little and even give them a bit of a scare here and there.
We were overdue a āboringā race - weāve had an above average number of incredibly exciting races, so Iām fine with this one not being a stonker.
It was a bit tense in the end, though, and I agree with @Wyvern that the safety concern of running tyres beyond going bald should be addressed. Iām just not sure how, as I love the idea of simply not pitting as a strategy!
I think Hamilton is being a bit childish again. You canāt blame the team for compromising the strategy when you compromised it in the first place by not following their first plan. He was pitted at the wrong time because he didnāt want to pit at the right time.
Sainz drove a monster race, heās a machine. Bottas deserved the win, he didnāt put a foot wrong throughout the race. Gasly was screwed over with the penalty, that was clearly a racing incident.
I gues it only matters who leads the last lap.
He hasnāt changed much. Pretty amazing.
So the Andretti buy out rumours are trueā¦ āĀ£296-million bid for Sauber on the tableā. A second article (thatās about Michael Andrettiās time as an F1 driver) I read says itās for an 80% stake in Sauber. Either way, if it does happen, thatāll be the end of Guanyu Zhouās chances as an Alfa driver. Pretty sure Andretti would opt for an American, or at least someone he is familiar with from the Indycar world. Colton Herta is by far the strongest possibility.
Papa Andretti says so:
Hereās that article on Michael Andrettiās time with F1 when he became team mate to Ayrton Senna in the 1993 season. It started disastrously at Kyalami:
Why Michael Andretti failed in F1 the first time around - The Race (the-race.com)
Did Lewis drive his nearest competitor off the track at turn 1??? Nothingās changed indeed
It is time !!
