Ayyy Ferrari 1-2 on the grid. I can dig that, as long as they keep it clean.
It will be interesting, I still call safety car in the first 15laps. . . .
First lap maybe even. Just leave a Ferrari out of it this time.
And no maccas please! (well maybe dani ric)
Man, Ferrari and their tires. Bah. Also seems like every race Le Clerc can come at Max for a bit and then they just totally tap off. Going to be Red Bull this year. Ill still be happy if Ferrari can keep staying in this fight though, especially when Merc arrives.
Great stuff Sainz, getting bot Ferraris on the podium again.
What a kak one for Norrisā¦ Damn.
Schumacher and Vettelā¦ Eish.
K Mag and Strollā¦ hahaha i can see this happening a few times this season.
One of the predictions was Max WDC and Ferrari to win the constructors. Starting to look like it might go that way. But weāll seeā¦
You guys do realise that Charlie is still 19 points clear of Max, right? Itās still early days, less than a quarter into this season. Itās waaaaaay too early to be calling anything.
3 more races of the same result and suddenly Max is ahead, Ferrari needs some more kw. Or some lower speed tracks.
Iām happy for Albon, heās had a great return to F1 and stories like this make me think that the more relaxed environment at Williams is the kind where he can thrive.
Iām also happy for Albon. He is doing really well at Williams.
I feel like Albon and Bottas are both quite happy at their new teams.
Barcelona and Monte Carlo coming up. Both should suit the Ferrari. And hopefully a couple of upgrades too.
Binotto is playing the long game here I think. Saving his cost cap pennies for the second half of the season when components are failing and penalties are being dished out for using more parts than youāre allocated. And his rivals have chewed through their budgets playing catch-up in the first half of the year.
At least I hope Iām he is.
Hoping this is the case yeah. They started of strong and everyone had to improve. so hopefully theyāll still have room to improve later on. Like Merc did to Red Bull end of last year.
The bit between that amazing grid walk - holy shit!! - and the awkward post race interviews and the OTT āMerica fuck yeah! podium was okay.
A bit bland after the opening laps, but that could also be because the TV direction remained kak throughout the race. Last 10-12 laps after the Norris v Gasly contact and Safety Car were pretty tense though. If only the Ferrari had a little more straight line speed, Chuck Leclerc (I called him that two years ago) would have had Max.
Other than the fiddly chicane bit, the circuit actually seemed like a decent challenge. Drop the chicane, reprofile the section between T13 and T16 into a high speed uphill dash, and it could be good for another overtaking point at the end of it. Move the DRS detection point into that area and the activation point to the top of the straight. Maybe add a chicane into the straight, like at Le Castellet, if theyāre worried about speeds down that straight. (And that would give them another overtaking option too.)
Best radio was Seb after Mick hit him. Normally heād be, āScheiĆe!! What a doos! Idiots who canāt drive! Jou ma!! That was my corner!ā When he sees itās Mick heās, āOh well. Tut tut. Accidents happen. Put the kettle on chaps, weāve got time for a cuppa now.ā
Oh, and if you thought Miami was over the top, wait until Vegas next year. That will be next level!
Yea I am glad I missed that grid walk, I have been avoiding them for a while now since they are such BS these days.
The people in charge need more practice in what is good to show us, and what isnāt. We missed a lot of action towards the back of the field.
Monaco: āOh you aināt seen nothing yet!ā
I kept seeing positions change on the left hand side then Iām wondering why Iām looking at nothing.
Or saving it to fix Carlosā car!
Mickās statement did not age wellā¦
