I think letting Lewis go unscathed in his scuffle with SEB and then penalizing max is unfair

Good race, Vettel as much as I love him, needs to take a step back, today could have been so much worse. He is making to many big mistakes that is throwing this season away.
That accident was just that an accident but they need to be more careful. And holy crap he had some amazing passes that showed he can be a cool head.
Alonso, he should just retire and not bother any more. And my heart just broke for Ricciardo.
Kimi lost that race due to bad planning and the Ferrari team blinking first - they could have kept him out longer on that first stint.

Was a really chaotic race!
Vettel will not win the WDC this year. He is not even close to mature enough in his driving to give Hamilton a challenge. He clearly has the faster car, but his consistent errors and stupid mistakes will cost his the championship this year. Hamilton is just driving so much better than Vettel.
That first lap incident was actually Vettelās fault. He shouldāve just let Hamilton past and get him on one of the many straights, but no, he HAS to fight him into a corner and understeer into Hamilton.
Ferrari may know how to build cars, but their donāt know how to manage a race at all. Again they completely bottled the strategy and brought in Kimi way too early. Just look at how his tires ended up looking after the race:
And Mercedes is having the drive of their life! Theyāre just not making any mistakes.
Urgh and Verstappen yet again got way too big for the sport. He clearly went off line and pushed Bottas off the track. He should know better than that.
RBR is just so frustrating these days. Itās so hard to be a fan of Red Bull when they have constant engine failures or a driver than doesnāt know proper race craft.
Monza showed which drivers have what it takes to win championships. Vettel clearly doesnāt Hamilton clearly does.

Great race summary Hammer. Iām a lifelong Ferrari fan, and a defacto Seb and Kimi supporter, but I agree: the team bottled under the pressure to perform in front of the new boss and the Tifosi. Merc didnāt win the race so much as Ferrari lost the race.
The moment when he threw it away:
Barring an unlikely DNF or two for Lewis, Seb needs to win at least 5 of the remaining 7 races, with LH running 2nd to have a long-shot mathematical chance of taking the WDC. I hope it goes all the way to Abu Dhabi with them both separated by a handful of points, but think Lewis will have it in the bag by Mexico again.

I totally agree with you, I donāt know what is wrong with Vettel. He drove like a champion from the back - he didnāt do anything stupid, but that NEED to be infront of Lewis before the end of lap one killed his WDC and they are throwing it away for Ferrari as well.
Also the childish outburst in the car when Kimi got pole was driving me nuts and this is from a firm Vettel supporter.
Max and his outbursts was beyond silly - he thankfully gave Vettel 4th with his childish behaviour yesterday on track

I was thinking yesterday when they said he doesnāt have a seat yet. That I hope we donāt lose him. He looks like heās actually a good driver. The way heās been giving it to Perez. Who is another driver I like.

Same Perez and Ocon are my two to watch. Vandoorn was overated from day one, same as hartley.
I do not have a lot of faith left in F1 tho to be honest.
Such a disgrace from the Tifosi!! Itās all fine and well to not like a guy, but this is just not on. Hamilton was really gracious in victory dealing with this much negativity.
