I swear we used to have a dedicated The Expanse topic, but I can’t find it. (If we don’t, we should!)

The sixth and final (at least currently planned) season premieres tomorrow - 10 December - on Prime Video. At only six episodes in length, this final season will be over by mid January, and fans will be left wondering if they can convince people to make more. There’s at least 3 books worth of material that is yet to make the transition from page to screen.

Nonetheless, we have some key storylines to see concluded in this season, and considering that Season 1 aired over 6 years ago, here’s a fantastic recap of the previous 5 seasons to get you up to speed before tomorrow:

And an explanation of the short season series finale, and a look to the potential future of The Expanse:

@Wyvern have you heard about this? A Disney+ reboot of Firefly is on the cards. Not much in the way of details yet, but potentially promising…

Kaylee: That’s good. Right?

I am not gonna lie, we love Yellowstone -I always liked the pace of the show, I’m wondering were it will lead to, altho the 6666 part is driving me nuts. But who knows maybe Jimmy will grow up.

I just discovered this series and im loving it. Mind you I do have a like for period shows…this one is different as they put a modern spin on it by being quite tongue-in-cheeck

Just finished the Yellowstone season finale. Some very interesting developments  Not any huge cliffhangers, but a pivotal death, as is the Yellowstone season finale tradition. It’s going to very interesting to see how Beth and John land up using and abusing Jaime next season.

Also started 1883, and agree with you - it’s excellent television. Sam Elliot, as we’ve mentioned, is just the perfect Western actor. And, while I was initially a little bit dubious about two singers in the lead roles, I’m suitably impressed by both Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s acting. I’ve also recently discovered that they are married IRL, so the chemistry between them on screen is real.

Oh, and as for…

…you’ll be pleased  to know that the 6666 spin-off series is already well into development, and that Jimmy will probably be around for a while still. The Four Sixes Ranch is actually a real ranch that Taylor Sheridan and a consortium he fronted bought in late 2020 for close to $350-million. Unfortuantely nope its an amazon prime, which we kinda don’t use currently - but its cheap enough and well worth it. Like @GregRedd said.

I was sad but happy for Jimmy, Beth and Rip and Carter is just adorable.
I worry that Beth went to far, as much as I love her and her attitude to take the bull by the balls I suspect she went to far, and Jaime is gonna crack - can you just imagine how much he has on that whole family?

Thanks! I may just have to sign up for Amazon Prime Video again. Couple of shows now on there that I want to watch.

The latest Grand Tour is a “homage” to french cars. They gave me PTSD by describing some the oddities of the 80’s Renaults I had to suffer through.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been working my way through all 8 Seasons of the original Dexter series. The plan was to finish with Season 8 just as New Blood Season 1 finishes so I can jump straight into it. I almost managed and it started New Blood 2 days ago with only one episode still coming this Sunday. I just want to say if you enjoyed Dexter back in the day (the good seasons) you need to watch New Blood. It is a triumphant return to form for the character. Episode 9 is one of the best episodes of any TV show I’ve ever seen, it was insanely good. I cannot wait for the season finale.
