Slay queen?
lol, I started playing Balatro a month or two ago, I generally cant play games on my phone, but Balatro is really good.
I was looking around for something similar and found Slay The Spire, not bad, been playing for around 2 weeks.
Last connection to slay…Slay The Princess, absolutely without question a brilliant game!! Its not fast paced or action filled, but the story is brilliant. I have the fascination or thing for playing with time, it intrigues me so much, like I still remember that one episode of Stargate where they kept repeating the day or the one episode on Star Trek Voyager where Janeway and Chakotay kept repeating time in a shuttle, the X-Files episode during a bank robbery, etc etc. Anyway, the story, art, voice “acting”, just everything in Slay The Princess is out standing.
Going for R110 during the current (28 Oct 2025) Scream IV sale.
Good morning MEW.
Greetings

Make it go away
make people go away please?
Good Afternoon everyone.
Good a giant order for a plant, hope my boss can cope. He has been passive aggressive the whole week.

Safely travelled to Durban yesterday, but it took almost 9 hours to get here. Usually it’s around 7 total, but this was a rough drive.
Packing took a while. Only managed to leave Centurion at 13:00. First we hit roadworks traffic through Johannesburg, and crawled along for 35 minutes.
Then we stopped at the Vaal Engen 1Stop and grabbed some sandwiches for lunch, only to open them and they were mouldy. Gross. So we took them back, and ended up having to order burgers from Wimpy which took 15 minutes to make. They were delicious though.
In the last 5 minutes at the Engen, a storm that we had been eyeing on the horizon blew in with fury. The wind was crazy and the rain that promptly followed was heavy. We crawled along at 70 kmph for over an hour with max wipers and hazards and low visibility. And trucks.
We passed through the storm, eventually, and then promptly hit a massive traffic jam in a construction zone. Crawled along at 5-10 kmph for about 25 minutes before we passed the scene of an accident between a big truck and a construction bakkie. There were multiple ambulances and police. Eventually we got to Montrose (near Van Rheenen) and were able to make a stop there at around 18:00. Knowing it was getting late, we decided to buy dinner there to eat later.
Below the Van Rheenen pass it was just a million trucks, despite it being around 19:00. One truck driver tried to kill us by not checking his blind spot and simply changing lanes basically right in front of us/cutting us off as we were passing him. I hooted to warn him and he completely ignored it and continued to cut into us. I had to slam on brakes and we missed the back of the truck by about a meter. Absolutely insane.
We then stopped at Windmills at 20:00 and their garage shop is shut down, their own shop was cashing up, and their bathrooms were locked. Good thing we bought dinner at Montrose.
We eventually arrived in Durban (Westville area) at our cottage at 21:50. Our cottage is quite nice but there’s a severe sewage issue that they can’t figure out, so the bathroom absolutely reeks like sewage all the time. On top of that the power was out for most of the day today because of a massive outage across the whole of Westville, and I was ill with an upset stomach that required me to go into the smelly bathroom far more times than I would have liked to.
On the upside, the cool, cloudy, rainy weather has saved us from the humidity of Durban so we didn’t die in the middle of the day without fans or aircon. And I ordered our groceries for the week, but we are on a hill so I had to do many steps to carry everything. I’ve made more than my step count and my stair count for two days running now ![]()

Its a good thing you got through safely. I saw now on the news that 8 are dead on the N3 after swinburn due to a minibus and truck colliding.
