Happy Christmas Eve 
The last of the Hanukkah 
candles has been lit, and as is the Austrian way, we’re doing Christmas dinner tonight. (Also because it’s Mom’s birthday tomorrow.) Kid Redd, the Chef, has been cooking up a storm since yesterday, the Christmas tunes are pumping through the house, and the tree 
is surrounded by a surprisingly large number of wrapped gifts 
considering the challenging economic times.(Hopefully that means they’re more thoughtful than extravagant.)
Wherever you are, whatever your traditions, I wish you all the very finest of festive seasons. May you and yours be blessed and safe, surrounded by family and friends, love and light, and the joy and peace we all deserve.

I’m in Durban, or rather lower south coast, and spending Christmas with family. I have no expectations in terms of gifts but just want to spend intentional time together, strengthening bonds and connections.
