“This is not the greatest topic in the world… this is just a tribute”

Huh are animals not really protective of their offspring and won’t just abandon or eat them?

Hamsters are weird like that, the mothers will instincly do what they need to do for the greater good of the litter. They will not worry about killing one or a few in order to protect their brood.

Yup, I was careful to use some plastic scoops to pick them up (scooped up the bedding underneath them).

I can’t tell if they’re all ok now though. They’re all in the nest, and I can’t disturb them for at least two weeks, maybe three. I’m just hoping if she does kill one, she tosses it outside the nest.

I’ve just read about Mylar, braided steel, polyethelene, polycarbonate, aluminium, copper hamsters. Indestructible little buggers

Damn puppy kept me up all night. I am not a fan of playing puppy grandad at this stage of my life. I need my sleep dammit!

The kid gets a puppy and I end up making sure it is quiet so that she can sleep.

Starting to hate this damned cute thing.

Really want a puppy but ouma doesn’t want to hear anything about it. But I am looking out and doing research on chinchillas.

There’s no way she can say no to something that cute :smiling_imp:

Take it from someone who’s kids have had chinchillas: they are not cuddly pets. They look it but actually holding one is another story. In addition to that, their sanitary needs are… unique and makes for … interesting cleanup.

Demon dog asleep now, when I have to work. It must learn to sleep when I do!

I’m not a big cuddly person. There’s a vetshop here and the lady used to breed them so yeah been asking her tones of questions and the do and don’t

Puppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

So cute!

tell the kids to play with the pup before their bed time, and you as well. Then when you are getting closer to bedtime, slow it all down, let pup nap, take her/mih for pees every couple of hours and then weirdly I have found those soothing white noise generators have an amazing effect on pups.

I have 5 pups for sale in a month or two, if anyone wants one.

(Hamster pups  )

That being said, I would love a rottweiler…
