I might eventually have to go for reading glasses, but that’s preferable to having to go for bi- or multi-focals.
I never know how much of a difference a proper chair makes. I’ve never had expensive or “good” chairs for home use. After sitting on my butt for 12-16 hours each day the past couple of months, my legs, back and neck were killing me. So I decided to use a company “perk” and order 2 ergonomic chairs for myself and my wife. After only 15 minutes of sitting in it, it feels like I’m sitting on a cloud and I can feel the tension releasing from my shoulders and neck…
We didn’t even get top tier chairs, but what seemed like well rated mid range chairs - the NetOne. Also got ergo foot rests, so I’m more comfortable at my desk than I’ve ever been. I contemplated getting a gaming chair, but reviews and experts suggested that ergo chairs are always better for long periods of work / play. So that’s what we went with and I’m not regretting it in the least.
Very nice!
We have ergonomic chairs at work and they are so great.
At home I’ve got a cheapish gamer chair that I bought a couple of years back and I regret it so much. It’s so uncomfortable and my bum starts hurting after a while of using it.
So, nice that you got those @FarligOpptreden. Will follow in your footsteps someitme in the future.
Wish I could afford one of those. I have a cheapy chair from Makro. After an hour my lower back gets sore too. That is usually when I go for a walk.
Send me a link to the ones you got? I wanna see what I have to start saving up for
This is the chair we got (one each for my wife and I). We ordered from them as well. Paid yesterday late afternoon and they delivered just before 10:00 this morning. I honestly don’t know why I waited so long and spent decades in terrible chairs.
Ok I will start saving, hopefully in 5 years
That is like half my salary at this point!
It’s the same make as the one I’m currently sitting on at the office!
We’ve got these:
Like I said I used a “perk” of being a majority shareholder in our company. I would probably never have spent that out of my own pocket, but knowing how it feels now I regret not doing it earlier - even from my own money.
Interesting thing is with work-from-home being the new normal, companies actually have to comply to health and safety, with part of that being responsible for the work environment of employees. So if you’re usually deskbound and are now “forced” to work from home, you can actually insist that your employer sponsor you a good chair… Not on any proper legal basis that I’m aware of, but if you’re contributing to the company they should give you the tools (like a chair) required to perform your job optimally. We’ve done so for some of our developers so far as well, even allowing them to take from the extra monitors at our offices home to make them more productive.
Oh nice! The NetOne really is very comfortable. And with the back being “net” (hence the name, I suppose) it is nice and breathable and cool as well. The range of adjustment on the chair is something I’m not used to. Arm rests moving up and down, swivel in and out and move forwards and backwards. And the headrest adjusts, the seat slides forwards or backwards, reclining and the normal height adjustment. It’s a great chair!
hahahaha my boss didnt even want to get one of the guys a webcam so he can have meetings.
As it is my makro chair I use at home has lasted me a good 5 years, but the arm rest is now broken and its a bit wobbly, so I want to get one again soon, but yea it wont be for a while and I know for a fact no xmas bonus.
Yeay for ad AI. One day you will see things like that follow you around, wherever you go.
It’s just who I am
But doesn’t seem as comfy as a nice leather or gaming chair
Youi are so very special
