In other news, had a laugh, my dad was racing at killarney this weekend and he did great. But he kept talking about how he hit the car when he was parking it.
We all figured it was the race car, but nope it was his Kuga … . A lovely dent on the rear passenger door.

went to go look at a bakkie yesterday, im looking for a corsa utility sport, got to the dealer noticed the airbag light was on the door was a different shade of white, saw it has been resprayed due to the overspray on the brakelines, one headlight is newer than the other and yet he says it has has never been in an accident. there is no service history, he cant say when the cambelt was or if it has been changed yet. it drives nice but the risk is too high to drop 80k on a sketchy vehicle, even if it is the exact specced model that i want

@Solitude how has your search for a new medical aid gone?
I am receiving bills left right and centre for my stay in hospital. the only thing this stupid medical aid pays for is your freaking bed… the drs you see while in hospital are not covered completely as they only pay according their schemes rates (like you have any control over which dr you see in hospital when your admitted)

Dis dalk n idee vir jou, ek wil ook kry sodra ek bietjie meer speeling het maar daar is baie van hulle wat jou dalk kan help in future - hulle cover meer van die fees
The fact that you need cover for your cover drives me nuts! And the doctor’s fees are stupidly high.

Dis net insane… die drs charge R800 a pop vir elke persoon wat hulle basies in die oggend sien in die hospitaal op hulle rondtes… imagine net hoeveel geld hulle in 1 dag maak good grief en dan betaal my medies nie eers helfte van die bedrag nie. As mens in hospitaal is kan jy nie eers weier om die dr te sien nie en wat nog meer belaglik is mens sal dink die besoek sal op a sliding scale werk want dis a “follow up visit” etc maar nope ek die dr 5 keer gesien waarvoor hy my R800 vir elke visit gevra het plus a extra 1300 vir nuwe pasient fooi. dis absoluut ridiculous.
Dan nie eers gepraat van die skelm ENT wat my sommer vir “FLEXIBLE NASOPHARYNGOLARYNGOSCOPE EXAMINATION” gecharge het wat hy nie eers gedoen het nie. En hy bother nie eers om op my queries te respond nie. En hy is permament in freaking theatre.

I stopped looking but yeah, not happy with them at all anymore. They used to be great but it feels like they suddenly don’t pay for anything anymore. I still have to find a different medical aid.

Our financial advisor spent like 3 months on our medical aid options and for us together with all our investments and stuff it turns out Discovery is the best. The thing then is you need to USE all their extra benefits and partner programs to save money in the long run… It is gonna be hard work to save money and make it worth while… Got our new cards in December. Anybody want to gym on my behalf?

ja its like they only pay for stuff at government hospital rates… where will you find a specialist that is only going to charge you R341.89 for a visit?
I also see the Flex option premium went up by R300… that is an hectic increase, i think its time i just move to my husbands medical aid
