I gave up IT about 7years ago and today our work server’s HDD crashed. The data is backup (because I am a good boy) but the pain of the OS install and the data restore really is a pain in the butt. But I took the chance to set up a VM so that my backups are easier and more manageable. Now there will never be a windows restore. Just reinstall VMWare and copy some files and BOOM!
I feel quite proud of myself.

Yup had the same thing. Reps told the boss at that point they dont have clients. I took a old data base phoned all of them and then ended up with a shit tone of meetings. Some clients still doing with that company after i left 4 years ago.

My load shedding experience today:
9am - Load shedding to start.
8:45am - power goes out
8:55am - power comes back
9:00am - power goes off as planned
11:10am - power comes back on
17:00 - load shedding scheduled to start
16:45 - power goes off
16:50 - power comes on
17:00 - power goes off as planned
19:10 - power comes on
19:12 - power goes off
19:15 - power comes back on.
