We both have more or less the same morning. They transferred files form the old server to the new one. Now the new one is laggy as hell and nothing is working
I am putting in a new firewall today. Was actually hoping for loadshedding so I could do the cutover, as there’s some testing to be done.
woah nice what firewall system you guys using.
Currently its Untangle, but I’m getting rid of that and rolling my own
This is something I had to research before upgrading to an SSD. Some older motherboards don’t support booting from them.
My motherboard doesn’t support booting from nVME drives, for example, but SATA SSDs are fine.
greetings zzzzzzzz
The weird thing is both pc’s are exactly the same inside.
The doesnt boot and the other one constantly crashed - so I have plugged the old drives in and they can all work
All except the boss who for some fucking reason cannot get onto the network and I am going to slap him soon if he doesnt stop acting like a 3 year old who was told no
Morning folks. Tough times for all at the moment. Stay safe. Be sensible. Don’t panic buy to the determent of those with greater need. Wash your hands!
On a lighter note… when the Social Media Manager forgets to disable the scheduled tweets…
Our sever is completely fucked. And everyone calls me wanting to explain what going on and the HR phones and asks if we are taking this COVID seriously… No we don’t we sneeze and cough open mouth trying to get home… What the fuck do people think we do?
Ok I have just one question - these people bulk buying - how the frack do they afford it!
Credit maybe?
Panic now pay later.
Can confirm panic buying exists.
No toilet paper, milk, flour and beans almost gone.
All the chicken by us are suddenly gone. nothing else here yet but probably soon.
The panic buying was inevitable. Retailers really didn’t have an opportunity between last night’s announcements and store openings this morning. And with all of our Facebook feeds and news reports from around the world showing empty shelves for the last week, it’s not surprising.
Admittedly, we did do a little stocking up last week already when the WHO announced “pandemic”. Did some more this morning for some staples - rice, mielie meal, pasta and some stuff for my mom-in-law. And soft cat sand! Bloody pampered beasts! Keep telling the wife they pee in the garden anyway, but she insists on the soft, cushy stuff for the littler box for when they can’t go outside
By 10, just an hour after opening, a lot of the shelves were empty already and the queues were long pretty much everywhere in the Woodmead stores. Utter chaos.
And I thought only rain makes people lose their minds completely (in public)…
Morning
Happy Tuesday
