“This is not the greatest topic in the world… this is just a tribute”

This is exactly why I only go to that site that you shared once a day, and just don’t bother otherwise. Besides 80% of the news currently is people asking for help - we are so fooked that the news is begging on organisations behalf. It is sad and scary at the same time. I would love to help out but I am myself barely surviving financially. I feel like shit getting paid a salary of some sort when I am not doing any work. It goes against everything I believe in. I know we need to limit everything to flatten the curve, in SA it is not economically viable not for even another 2 weeks. I have a gut feeling we are heading towards chaos

Kakkest week in a long time.

Got a Job offer over the weekend. Told them I am def interested, but as I am loyal I would need to give my current company 30 days notice. They said they need someone asap and unfortunately that will not work.

Next day I get an email form my current employers that I am temporarily laid off and could be for 6Months+… Tourism industry is fucked. So guess there is that.

Think of a movie scene, and you’re psychic, and you’re under attack, and the world is shaking and you’re holding your head, and you can’t drown out the very fabric of space around you is closing in on you…

my dog is snoring. Help.

Sunday morning to last night, no power. Almost 3 days. Had to cook all of the stuff in my deep freeze yesterday and stick it cooked back into the deep freeze when the power came back. I did a lot of cooking :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Happy Wednesday!

A hose on my sink burst this morning. Fried my router, not to mention everything else that got soaked.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo hope you get it sorted!

Thanks. I’m just waiting on someone going to town to get a replacement hose. I have no idea where he’ll get one during lockdown but he did say they’re open “for emergencies”… He was supposed to come down and put a cap on my sink so I can at least take a shower :expressionless:

Your router is in your bathroom?

LOL since when are sinks only found in bathrooms?

Your router is in your kitchen then? Not sure where else people have sinks other than bathroom/kitchen.

Yup, you got it! I put it on the work table ‘temporarily’ when I moved in mid-January. When the sink’s hose broke, it flailed around and got my work table wet.

Aren’t they usually under the sink though?

Yes it is. The clamp on the end of the hose connecting to the faucet is where it broke, so it was able to angle itself up and out and onto my work table.

Thankfully the hoses are now replaced (the cold water one was also about to crack so they replaced both. He figured it would blow in the next 2 weeks).

I left my router outside in the sun (bare board), and now that it is dried out it seems to be running the same as usual.

All in all, I’m thankful it wasn’t any worse. Now just waiting for my geyser to heat up so I can finally have a nice hot shower (I mean, I had one this morning, but I wasn’t about to soap/shampoo in the kitchen)
