Going to the office to sanitize and wipe it all down.
Tomorrow we are open as far as I know - apparently a minister of something said that any construction work in progress or just starting on uni buildings must be continued asap.
@Solitude - sorry to hear dude, what can I do to help?
I am actually - just for a change of scenery. Not that I can do much as of yet - till the meetings start and I get to type minutes again!
But yea overall happy to go back, this having no money extra is getting less fun. I cant wait for the second job to start up so I can actually afford to go buy winter clothing!
Altho I should add, that I was / am sceptical, the bosses are now discussing and getting clarification so it is a wait and see - I let his enthusiasm get me excited and hopeful. . . .I shouldn’t have
At this point, its free - the problem we are having tho is more a 1D10T error and PEBCAC error
The boss doesnt understand that you start the meeting out of outlook. He wants to import his phone contacts onto the pc and add them to teams.
He is convinced he can call people via teams the way you do with whatsapp and skype
It was a real mission. Had lots of problems and I felt bad for the poor guy who did the installation. But it looks like Rain had problems while we were setting everything up. Because now it’s great! I hope it stays this way.
Hi folks. Hope y’all are doing well. Got back to running on Saturday, which was cool, especially considering how few people are out in our part of Centurion.
Also, It’s not a great feeling; the internal conflict of pride and scorn as a project you’ve put too much energy and time on (read, excruciatingly so) goes live, or rather you realize it’s been live for at least a month and a half, yet you haven’t been paid the final amount because of shenanigans by the agency we did the project through (learning curves are nice in the professional world, I guess. Yay, capitalism).
My kids’ school uses Teams, and its not been too bad. The first the kids are taught on there is how turn your mic off
And my 7 year old just “gets” it.
A lot of my company meetings have actually taken place over Discord, which I find is rather good. It is also the only app I could find that supports desktop audio when screen sharing. So it is our default family Jackbox meeting app!
