I am now gatvol of anything meat related. Having prepped and cooked and (I skipped this part) mincing meat for boerewors and mince.

Yes, I live in KZN, it is everywhere. I just won’t allow myself to eat it. My war with cholesterol still rages on for 11 years now.

@Shrike - we make a lean version, keep an eye out for venison boerewors - they have very little fat in it. And most do it with adding pork and a bit of pork fat, but compared to others, its like eating ostrich meat instead of steak
It is one of the reasons we do buy venison once a year.
