I honestly think they didn’t know what they were talking about. IIRC their site ran on ASP.NET, so it’s more than likely a Windows Server. Just badly configured and probably terribly built and optimised code.

Yay had some good news
Telkom dispute that has been carrying on for 2 years now is almost resolved. Gotta love them, they have to cancel a number before it can be ported. It was ported to VOIP 2 years ago, we got billed for the 2 years, because they claim there was an MWEB adsl line associated with the number - we went fibre before the VOIP so the adsl was cancelled, the irony is we have never had an MWEB adsl. We always have used WebAfrica. And we have an email from Telkom stating that the adsl was cleared/cancelled off the line before the port was approved. So they are now busy sorting it out and getting the attorney’s who has been threatening the company with blacklisting due to an account of R5k (which is accumulated and billed for months since we went over to VOIP - and yes we paid the 2 months cancellation).
