Beer at work is one thing I do enjoy about my job.
If the big bosses arrive for lunch, it’s beer time. The downside is trying to work through the post beer energy and concentration crash.

Morning people of the palace
I am exhausted, about 3 hours sleep last night, my sister from Aus forgot the time difference and phoned me at 1am
not that I was asleep.
My dad is learning how much mum does now that she can’t do much at all. Ironically she can do more than she did this weekend. But we decided to teach him a lesson. Sent him to do food shopping - now he knows how expensive it is. I just lost it a little yesterday, he did absolutely nothing, constantly moaning at me that he is bored. So I asked him to do the dishes - never happened, then I asked him to clean the pool just to give him something to do, he half arsed it.
And he is bitching and moaning that he only sleeps till 4 or 5 am. But he goes to bed at 8:30 or 9pm - and is asleep by 9:30 or 10pm at the latest…
Now he is blaming it on the dogs, that wake us up at any time between 4 and 5 am, cos they want to go pee. And he somehow wants to teach them to stop this and sleep in (which they do over weekends)

Old age is indeed a reality a lot of us have to deal with. At the end of may my mom was evicted, 5 days later my mom in law passed and now my dad in law is in ICU and unstable. Fun times.

Its just taking him a while to adapt. And it doesnt help that I am over tired from doing it all, not having a moment to myself except from like 8 or 9 pm at night
