Honestly got into the habit of turning the desktop off because of load shedding. Iāve slowly started getting out of the habit lately of letting it go into Sleep mode. The laptop on the other hand, goes off maybe once a week.
Every few hours when Eskom is performing at its best.
Since I now have a UPS and we have solar backup power, I basically never restart my PC, only after maybe an update, or if I feel like something screwy is happening with my PC.
Since I wondered how long my PC has actually up for,
My CPU says its been: 108 days 17 hours
If anyone else wants to find out, a simple easy way to use, is to go to taskmanager > performance > CPU tab look for the āUp Timeā section.
Laptop I have to shutdown otherwise it overheats for some reason in sleepmode.
Pc always gets shutdown

Cortana is dead. Long live Cortana!!
Currently being replaced by the ChatGPT-driven Copilot. (MS didnāt invest all those billions into OpenAI not to make use of it.)

Oh, and who voted āOther, comment below.ā and then didnāt comment below?! Youāre doing it wrong!
Yeah, I didnāt include Copilot as it is more akin to ChatGPT and thus more a language model than an assistant. Though there is a lot of overlap of these services.
I donāt use any.
I use ChatGPT from time to time for a few things, but I donāt need AI assistance in general.
wait. I meanā¦ All hail the AI overlords!
