Wow The lit is just way too much to try and limit to something like a 20 games list much like the NES Mini. But let me give it a try:

  4. Quake
  5. Myst
  6. Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  7. Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness
  8. Theme Hospital
  9. Rollercoaster Tycoon
  10. Age of Empires
  11. Need For Speed 2
  12. Dungeon Keeper
  13. Diablo 1
  14. Escape from Monkey Island
  15. Day of the Tentacle
  16. Command and Conquer: Red Alert
  17. Wing Commander
  18. Tomb Raider
  19. Grand Theft Auto

Can’t believe I forgot that! One of my all time favourites…

The problem with suggestions like those is that they were more prevalent on consoles than PC… Seeing as a “Classic PC” should probably focus on titles that were exclusive to the platform, the majority of suggestions would probably fall in the RTS, RPG or simulation categories.

Ah, fair point indeed. Something I did not take into consideration. I was focused more on the iconic status of the games and their impact on the gaming landscape.
