i just connect my xbox controller to the pc via the pcs internal bluetooth, no issues yet

The first run on XBone controllers needed the dongle. It’s only v2 that is just regular bluetooth.

Not sure which version I have, but it has bluetooth… and it is useless. I’ve got bluetooth built in on my PC and I don’t remember the exact behaviour of connecting the controller via bluetooth, but it wasn’t working great. It would disconnect in Assassin’s Creed when opening the map (to the extend that I had to use the keyboard to exit the map before it would reconnect), the sensitivity would be way off and I think some of the buttons wasn’t working properly.
Getting the generic wireless receiver fixed all that, but it was still unstable as hell with random disconnects while playing.
