Are you learning a new skill during the lockdown?

With 18 more days of lockdown to go, has anyone decided to learn a new skill or improve an existing one with the extra free time?

I have entered the world of live streaming and production with our Church services going online. Been getting familiarised with OBS and doing some (very amateur) video editing.

I’m still working, so the only change in my life so far is less driving around, which suits me quite well.

Nope. I would of loved to learn something new during the lockdown but being in the profession i’m in i get to work from home… yay :expressionless:

But yes, not having to drive anywhere or be forced to go shopping on a Saturday when i’d rather sleep late has been great.

Nope, still working but there is still a long time to go so might pick up something along the way. Have always wanted to learn how to make HTML display data from a database. Maybe that. The wife wants to practice more piano.

It’s cool that your church is doing that. Our church has also started streaming for the lockdown. We watched it this morning. It was weird because at some points you stand during the service but we didn’t stand while watching, so felt weird :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m constantly learning, though I doubt an entire course can be done in the 3 weeks of lockdown. Besides that, it still has to contend with work, family and personal time. But yes, my immediate goal at the moment is a Usuability Specialist.

I guess technically yes, I’m studying. It’s tough going though. As judged by the number of times I’m having to cross things out and try again.

Unfortunately I have no extra free time. It feels like I’ve got less time than before the lockdown. Just have too much on my plate.
