I just want busses and tubes

The guided busway here in Cambridge is awesome (I use it as my daily commute), as it’s separate from the normal road infrastructure for the most part you don’t have traffic issues. They used the old areas where railway lines used to be. It’s designed in such a way that cars cannot drive on it.

Driving from home to the office would take me 60-90 minutes; Taking the guided busway is a 15min trip. Plus you have free WiFi on the bus.

That is the part I honestly miss the most. I had a bus route that went past our street, from there I could get anywhere in town, my regular route to my collage took me past Lords Stadium, and the Sherlock Holmes residence

I used the tube for longer trips - when I had to go north to south.

And in the countryside I was lucky, we had a bus every 15 mins to Windermere and that same bus would take us an hour to the next “big” town Kendall, where we did clothes shopping.

The town I lived in I can recommend if you guys ever want to go do a proper hiking tour in the Lake District - It was a small place called Ambleside - at the point I lived there, there was only 1 traffic light.

I prefer living in a small village, it’s relaxing. Some pictures from the village as found on Wikipedia/Interwebs

With a single traffic light, two small shops, 3 pubs, a post office, an “indian” restaurant, Chinese takeaways and a fish and chips shop it’s sufficient

Dude I only spent a year in Ambleside and its the part of the UK that stole my heart, I was so close to marrying a friend for a visa so I could stay there!

The last one is the hotel I worked at.
The time I spent in the village was amazing. It was where I felt at home and at peace in the UK. It was my happiest time whilst there. My love for the UK isnt London, London is just another big city with some history.

The first weekend I spent in the UK I went to Stratford Apon Avon - where Shakespare used to live.

I spent more time in the countryside in weird villages that I cannot pronounce names for! We took a train once a month, by getting to the station, asking the ticket seller which small village we need to go visit for the weekend. We would rock up, find a room in an inn and explore!

On second thought, $47 for a battery, bluetooth module and a 3-way accelerometer in a plastic case seems a bit much

Soooo… My boss gave me a bag of avocados the other day. I told them I don’t really like them, but I’ve heard they’re super healthy and stuff and I look forward to giving them another chance.

Ya… I tried half a small one on toast this morning with egg, and I ended up getting rid of it… violently…

I despise avo as well. I know it is something I should be eating a lot of but refuse to, I have tried many times but just cannot, the texture gets me every time.

Same here. I can’t eat avos. When I tell people that then they look at me like I’m crazy. But like you, it’s the texture that makes me feel queasy.

I guess so, I have a list of weird combos that I love and have almost every week:

Sliced banana on peanut butter on toast

Apricot jam with grated cheese on top on bread or toast

Peanut butter mixed into choc chip yogurt with added coco powder mixed in
