Beating Off 2.0

Nope, I did find one shop that’s not in the UK that ships it here. However I’m not paying R180 for a little pot of fish paste

Just DONT buy it from a south african shop - the price aint worth it!

ok wow ja R180 is quite steep, i guess your gonna have to buy anchovies and ground them up…

Remember… You shouldn’t be comparing everything to ZAR anymore. How does the cost of that R180 relate to the Big Mac Index? If you end up paying 10 pounds for a jar of liquidated anchovies with salt and herbs, then just determine how many spreads you’ll get from the jar and determine the cost per slice of toast. I’d wager it won’t end up being THAT expensive compared to other snacks in the UK… :stuck_out_tongue:

Only way i can eat avo is with sushi, any other way is not nice.

If its from a SAFFA shop, he really needs to only do it as a special treat - those saffa shops are a total rip off

Considering that it’s R180 for 125g, not happening…

I can do it myself for under £2

so i just stumbled across this design that was granted by our patents and design office:

This is a prime example of a client probably insisting on having this design protected and and attorney all to will to just take their money…like really so now if they find another restaurant serving a dessert similar to this desserts look they can send you a seize and desist letter…

That candy candy one looks gross lol

like these are hand made things there is no way in hell that each and every single one that is made will ever look like these photos…and its not like you can even protect the ingredients or anything… this is just wasting money imo…this restaurant could have used the money they spent on this to give their staff a nice christmas bonus… i cant even see a court enforcing this.

…and they filed 6 more similar to this…

bwahaha wenzie these days people are nuts, we got a very threatening call the other day to use a company for our BBE stuff - all which is done by our accountants already - they made it sound like we are breaking laws

I can understand fancy restaurants doing this for certain dishes, especially when the dish/desert was invented by their own chef or perhaps even the chef patenting his/her own desert.

While watching master chef Australia i always assume those special chef judges have their dishes patent or something.

all you need to do to circumvent this design is change the glass…then it cant be seen as the same. hell you can even change the colour of the cotton candy and you should be safe, also just google image search decadent desserts with candy floss. at most you would be able to tell people they cant call it what you called yours so as to not cause confusion

I’ve eaten plenty of sushi with avo in it. It never seemed to cause a problem.

I never ate it because I hate the texture, but I was actually amped to start eating it for health reasons.

But after the forceful ejection, I won’t be eating it again…
