so i have to get our receptionist lady to scan a files for me so we can save them electronically and throw the paper away. the problem is some of the pages keep jamming… so she went and scanned a 150 page file one by one… and some of the pages were scanned upside down cause the machine just kept jamming.
fml… i might as well have just done this myself cause really

Exactly. I could never understand why i’m always tasked with checking someone else’s work when i can just do it myself. Many arguments have been had over this.

the thing is she needs to learn as eventually she will need to save the electronic docs into folders. so i have to take this time to show her. the problem is she doesnt really want to learn cause she is quite old and has been used to spending her day on youtube(we hardly get clients at our offices and our phones dont ring that much, so she just has to deal with messengers etc and the odd client that comes in.) so she tries to do stuff as quickly as possible and i dont have time to immediately check what she has done. i just happened to see this as the scans go to my e-mail so i kept getting notifications…

Ek scan 150 easily, my fokop is die doublesided. So ek scan al die pages een kant, en dan die ander kant en actually combine die twee documents into 1

jy sien die is ou leers wat ons nog gelys is as address for service vir die patente, en hulle is basies dormant want als het gebeur op hulle wat moes. maar hulle vat baie plek so on wil onstlae raak van die papier en will eerder digital copies hou tot en met wanneer die patent verval.

Daar is altyd Metrofile, we used to have shitty documents that legally we had to keep for 7 years.

ja i have used them before at another firm but that costs money…the boss does not want to spend any money…
