Morning all
Everybody says we have to go eat a burger there. Absolutely everybody. Luckily we stay really close to Eden on the Bay - I’d wager about 700m away. We’re also about 1.7km away from Table Bay Mall. We’re in Seaside Village, staying directly above the Cape Town Fish Market.
Morning everyone
@FarligOpptreden enjoy Cape Town. I am super jealous right now. There are so many hidden gem places to go to that you’ll have something to do for any period of time you’ll spend in Cape Town.
Smoke on the water, Parmesan potato wedges and red cabbage slaw on the side. You’ll thank me later
And go winefarm hopping! We can all meet up at CBC!
Morning people of the palace
Bad night, the alarm kept going off, every 30mins, at 2am I turned it off, but I couldnt fall asleep again after that.
The argument this morning was so much fun, how am I supposed to know everything? I have no idea how to work our alarm system besides activating it and turning it off and on.
Good morning everyone.
I see its Cape Town travel recommendations time.
There’s so much to do/eat in Cape Town, so here is my non-exhaustive list for @FarligOpptreden
- Ons Huisie Restaurant (just hit it for Brunch/Lunch though)
- Saints Burger Bar
- Jerry’s Burger Bar (also in Blouberg)
- Blue Peter (for afternoon cocktails)
- Doodles (Have a seafood platter and some wine around sunset)
- Seafood Lapa in Melkbosstrand
- Shimmy Beach Club (do this at least once in your life and drop a couple of grand)
- One and Only (do the high tea, it’s worthwhile)
- Cafe Caprice in Camps Bay (Also a Cocktails and sunset place)
- Take the kids to Imhoff Farm and have pizza at the Blue Water Cafe there
I’ll stop now…
Travelling through Cape Town in February I tried the Jerry’s in Seapoint and the one in Blouberg. Ordered the exact same thing — crumbed mushrooms and a burger — and I actually preferred the one in Seapoint.
I’ve been meaning to try Ons Huisie a few times, but my wife is not an early riser .
Haven’t tried any of the other places, will definitely try to next time I’m in town.
Haven’t tried any of the others, so I’ll definitely
And I prefer Jerry’s at Willowbridge it just goes to show
There is so much to do and see in the cape that it is difficult to fit it all in one visit - as @DieGrootHammer
Also fok telkom
That’s the thing with Jerry’s Burger Bar…the Seapoint one is ok, no real view. The Blouberg one has a nice view, but can get busy and parking is a pain in the ass. Willowbridge has the nicer staff and they seem to take care with food prep, however nothing to look at.
I like eating with a view or a little bit of ambiance, especially in Cape Town.
Ok scary.
When reporting a fault on telscum, do the automated route on the phone (their call in and speak to a person option is broken). The fault was logged at 10am
They already fixed it.
My boss wants me to do ‘credit control’ for his projects. I have an unpaid invoice here from 2017.
Greetings ! went to telkom this morning and apparently my bill is only due at the end of the month
Howdy chaps! And chappies!
Office bound all day with wages and admin. My least favourite part of the job.
LOL Dude I am not sure what to do in that case
Same with the Obs one - really cool staff and it’s fun to people watch in that area as well
I actively avoided Obs and pretty much anything along the False Bay coast between Simonstown and Strand.
should we start worrying about you
Hey there is an eclectic bunch of people in Obs/Woodstock area - my friend I tend to make up backstories for everyone.
Naaa, he’ll eventually set the range on his rifle scope correctly…
