my favourite is the entitled people walking their prescious little doggies without leashes and then when we walk past them (mine is on a leash) and mine ignores them. Then their little dipshit comes running towards mine, I make Mika sit - he doesnt even bark. Or look at the yapper. And then the person gets pissed off because I can’t control my dog. . . .

all the people from muizenburg had to take detours that want to get from there to the northern suburbs, cause jakes gerwel is the easiest route, you can go from strandfontein via ottery road, but those are semi ruraL ROADS,

i could have gone straight on baden powell past the nature reserve to get to the N2 but then you go past the back of kayalitsha and i wasnt willing to take that risk.
i had to eventually go through m/plain to az berman which is bordered by dangerous tafelsig and beaconvalley just to get on to the R300 luckily that was free flowing

Its time to move
There’s a little shitter on my beach route, comes racing out the yard and follows for ages yipping and yapping while my dog ignores him completely … the other day I lost it with the noise so turned around and barked at the shitter and said fuck off. Dude, the way back I get this hysterical woman having a go at me for traumatizing her sweet little angel by ‘hitting it’ and ‘letting my dog go for it’

There’s also something up on Malibongwe Drive (the Cape Town one, just east of Parklands that extends off Sandown Road). The past 2 days I’ve driven there close to the N7 on-ramp they were burning stuff in the roads. Yesterday there were more than 20 police cars in the area trying to keep the peace, with shacks being erected in the big empty land by the construction area.
Anyway, on a more positive note:
Why the hell did I wait so long to take advantage of container technology like Docker!!! I’m now frantically containerising every app I can and it’s taking like an hour most to implement it for existing applications. Now to move ithem to AWS or Azure and start getting rid of our dedicated servers at Hetzner…
