I will give it a try. But looks Star Trekish, or am I mistaken?
It is gritty, violent and more space westernish.
West World but with spaceships? O_o
Very mistaken, the reason I love it is, is more as shrike said, western inspired - you get a feel for proper character development, great story, a very realistic future - where the english and chinese worlds united into one force and the independants aka browncoats lost the war. There is only fancy lazers and stuff like that in the major planets. Border planets are rough and you get the feeling of the old out back west movies. Settlers and that kind of thing.
For years I had a serious crush on Kaylee. All the women in the series were really strong, each in a very different way.
Kaylee was and always will be my favourite character from the show. Mal and then Inara, then River, and the rest. Even Jayne was always a favourite. I loved each character and how they built the team and the feeling that you got was that they are family.
Hello people. Think Iām starting to feel a bit better.
My interview this morning wasnāt so great though
Now chilling in MB with coffee and triple choc muffin
I hate the Phoenix story arc so much.
(EDIT: Cool trailer, though.)
Itās the movie you didnāt know you actually wanted to watch once the BluRay appears in the bargain bin at Tesco
The state of SAās postal service is part of the reason our shipping is so expensive.
Sending stuff from South Africa overseas is even more expensive ā itās nearly impossible to build a small business that creates physical products and ships them overseas down here.
(International postage is very complicated, though ā check Planet Money for a very informative podcast on the topic.)
Itās still surreal working in a game studio with people that played an active part in releasing titles you have played and loved. And you have random conversations like "Oh I loved how handles in " and the guy goes āYeah, I wrote the code for thatā
Speaking of international packages coming through SA postā¦ One of the ladies at work goes in once a week (for months) checking if her parcel has arrived. Since it is all kept on paper in binders, she makes a little mark in the bottom corner of the last page so next time she comes in she knows where to start looking again.
People have noticed her doing this, and now sheās noticing other people are putting a unique mark on the bottom of pages too.
I still want to know where you work now!
Started reading this post and expected it to take a totally different turn than it did
